The 21st century community skills to strategies

Learning about and analysing the changes around us helps us to cope with the changes in our own lives. This is important because you, the youth of today are the future workers and decision makers. You will be the people in charge and influences the changes occurring in our community, electorate or district.Your hands and minds will be shaping and controlling our community or district towards achieving the 2050 vision of the government. Change need not occur only by chance. It can be planned and happen by choice. People responsein both positive and negative ways.Changes produces both benefits and problems. Gemel Wox Wasi

Established a procurement audit team in mist of corruption

I advocate that a probity auditor for procurement be established. This can be housed as a new independent office. This function will ensure that disputes are promptly heard but also investigate any allegations of malfeasance or to simply verify costing’s reasonable and robust. I believe that fiscal transparency must be strengthened by publishing key details of major project including estimated rates of return, estimated and final project costs, contractor and its gender impact. We have seen too many reports of excessive legal costs and it is time to ensure that there is legal compliance of the engagement of lawyers for public purposes through a procurement process that results in panel selection of firms and ensures value for money. The publicity of Parliamentarians on signage of public works or assets purchased with public funds and the deception that Parliamentarians alone deliver must stop. It is time for anti-signage provisions in law Parliament, an important arm of government mus

WALK UP CALL FOR ALL RURAL LEADERS - TO ANGA REGION

We will be continuously brainwashed because we can not discussed openly which will be continuously mislead. We sit around and do nothing about it, we say nothing about it. We are too busy with our doings and gettin diplomas and degrees so forth that we can be qualified to enter the national western race. This is walk up call for all 2022 intending candidates who prepare to represent PEOPLE OF OBURA WONENARA DISTRICT and MENYAMYA DISTRICT to speak effectively and efficiently. This tangible idea that the destiny of the peoples of above two mentioned district can not be decided by one group alone. The negotiation process must be swift and positive if the long night is to end and the crying in the wilderness is to be silenced with tears of day ligth. I have no doubt that this two district will have to declare the prosperity and drive towards new provincial boundaries between Momase and Highland and will be called the New Province as "ANGA". Marawaka Sub-district and Meny

Separation of New provinces between Momase and Highlands needed

There have been increasing concerns over a number of years about the difficulties faced by Papua New Guineans living in rural and remote areas of PNG in accessing services that most urban dwellers take for granted. A parallel concern has been extent to which the education of people living in these areas is poorer than that of those living in areas with greater accessibility to education, welfare and other services. The Natinal Economic & Fiscal Commision  has  been  dedicated  to  a  vision  of  seeing  regeneration  of  basic  government  services  across  the country. The need is most dire for our rural populations. The people of Yelia in Obura Wonenera district Eastern Highlands and Menyamya distict in Morobe Province have faced tremendous issues and largely miss out of infrastructure developmental changes since the establishment of Papua New Guinea government. With various complains faced and made by the demoted communities concerning the issues affecting our entire com

"REACHING THE UNREACHED " OF PNG

Motto: "REACHING THE UNREACHED " This blogger: "marawakastrugglernewspage.blogspot.com" serves as a medium of news pubilication of Marawaka Sub-District in a higher level for the voiceless and also purporsely created to figure the public about how far Marawaka people is embarking on a daily lives since PNG get independence. It will also embrace our sleeping giant in all levels of Obura Wonenara distict to fully motivated and well decentralised in their respective responsibility.

Jane Meprandei I am Jane Meprandei, 17 years old from Kwakusilo village ward 3, Marawaka sub-district, it is very sad for me as one of them to present my accident report on the car accident at Bulolo forest in Bulolo District of Morobe Province that occurred on the 30 th June 2020 around 5 o’clock pm while heading to Umba in Menyamya district on a Fox car, the second hand land cruiser .  The car therefore headed forward and was totally out of control. I was aimed to die however at an area with trees and under growths the driver directly hit the car and I was unconscious, the car was turn over on top. It then suddenly off the narrow track heading down the shallow stiff slope the rolling down three times at the approximately distance of 10 metres. EHP students Union Needed.

Can the Eastern Highlands Provincial government set the scholarship for the EHP Tertiary student? As a struggle boy from Marawaka, posting this because previous years I have seen student from other provinces are getting help from their provincial government annually but EHP  students are not getting any support. EHP students have always being a spectators while their colleagues and friends from other tertiary institution benefits from their provincial scholarship. Our previous government should established this one as priority for EHP students, before considering any other development. This may bring the human resource development with greatest benefit for the Eastern Highlanders to next level. I hope our governor is young energetic, vibrant and fresh can do that. It is not late, he can set legacy for the foundation of EHP scholarship.         The investment of the education towards students is not only to serve the development of an individual at workplace or home leisure but it

Marawaka Strugglers want Obura Wonenara to split.

The people of remote Marawaka sub-district in Eastern Highlands have continuously missed out of basic government services for indefinite period since 1975. It is a very large landmass with 34 ward council area, the approximate population living in the area is 20 000 plus which covers part of Gulf, Morobe and Eastern Highlands province. The community only access basic goods and services through by plane and few to Menyamya road- Morobe Province.  Marawaka since the establishment of government station have largely neglected and demolished by their very own leaders due to silly excuses of many hard terrain mountains in the area. The district administrative leaders, political leaders and public servants were not working with like minded or hand in hand which as results of miss management in the office. And also Obura Wonenara district office is currently operating around the streets of Kainantu and Goroka where it shouldn't be, Marawaka do have district office where the local MP should

Obura Wonenara need agent Audit

A silent and cripple district in Eastern Highlands over the centuries have regressed and stagnant while some other district flip advanced and utilise the government services. May be the district does not get any funds from the government, it is a sleeping and voiceless giant where no one voice concern. And no even impact project taking place due to administration team working on their self interest. Marawaka Strugglers want government of the day to intervenes and do audition in all levels of Obura Wonenara district administration before The Marape's Manifesto - Make PNG The Richest Black Christian Nation role out in the years to come so no child is left behind. O-WAN LEADERS MUST UNITE

It is with a great enthusiasm if you could kindly allow me a space to publish my opinion regarding the last week Friday news on Post Courier page 21 heading stated “Menyamya road link to boost agriculture” in the remoteness of Eastern Highlands and Morobe Province.  On behalf of Marawaka people I would like to appreciate Hon. Peter Numu Eastern Highlands governor for drive through Menyamya -Marawaka road to announce the allocation of K500 000 as an upfront funding to begin work on the road.   O-WAN MP with the 3 LLG presidents, councillors including senior bureaucrats at the district administration level must commit themselves to work together as O-Wan team with provincial administration to declaring the prosperity of our electorate. They must put aside their political differences and start work together as one team or One Word for the better change of our marginalised people. We keep saying that our people have been denied access to essential services such as agriculture, health, e

Coffee farmers in remote Marawaka are struggling

Coffee is one of the commodity that contribute towards the economy of the country. It is a financial strength that boast some remote areas in terms of financial burdens like school fees and so on.  Marawaka in Eastern Highland is very remote that heavily depends on coffee to pay for goods and services. However last year till this year,I as a local student observed lacking of school fee assistance towards the students. As all student from the area came nothing in the beginning of the year to pay for school fees at various institutions, only bus fares. As of 2018 to this date coffee farmers are still searching for help or buyers to sell their coffee parchments. The local Mp through DDA must intervene and make budget plan to subsidize more on airfares in the areas of Marawaka because the only way to get store goods, school materials and health supplies there is by plane and few by Menyamya road to reach destination and vice versa.  This means if the airfare is K350, then the
