You will be the people in charge and influences the changes occurring in our community, electorate or district.Your hands and minds will be shaping and controlling our community or district towards achieving the 2050 vision of the government. Marawaka in dire need of baisic services

The people of remote Marawaka sub-district in Eastern Highlands have continuously missed out of basic government services for indefinite period since 1975. It is a very large landmass with 34 ward council area,the approximate population living in the area is 20 000 plus which covers part of Gulf, Morobe and Eastern Highlands province.The community only access basic goods and services through by plane and few to Menyamya road- Morobe Province.  Marawaka since the establishment of government station have largely neglected and demolished by their very own leaders due to silly excuses of many hard terrain mountains in the area. The district administrative leaders, political leaders and public servants were not working with like minded or hand in hand which as results of miss management in the office. And also Obura Wonenara district office is currently operating around the streets of Kainantu and Goroka where it shouldn't be, Marawaka do have district office where the local MP should...

Coffee farmers in remote Marawaka are struggling

Coffee is one of the commodity that contribute towards the economy of the country. It is a financial strength that boast some remote areas in terms of financial burdens like school fees and so on.  Marawaka in Eastern Highland is very remote that heavily depends on coffee to pay for goods and services. However last year till this year,I as a local student observed lacking of school fee assistance towards the students. As all student from the area came nothing in the beginning of the year to pay for school fees at various institutions, only bus fares. As of 2018 to this date coffee farmers are still searching for help or buyers to sell their coffee parchments. The local Mp through DDA must intervene and make budget plan to subsidize more on airfares in the areas of Marawaka because the only way to get store goods, school materials and health supplies there is by plane and few by Menyamya road to reach destination and vice versa.  This means if the airfare is K350,...
